June 16, 1763 Battle of Fort Venango

On Thursday June 16, 1763 Ojibway Soldiers forced their way into Fort Venango then killed all 15 English Soldiers. They then destroyed Fort Venango. They kept Fort Venango's commander and forced him to write a letter to his superiors telling them why that war continued and about English refusing to leave those forts. Ojibway leaders knew about massive plague warfare assaults launched against Indians by their English enemies, after Ojibway Soldiers commenced a siege against Fort Pitt on Saturday May 28, 1763. After Fort Venango's commander wrote that letter, they took it out on him. He was horricially killed.
