The Battle of Gomez Palacio March 22-26, 1914
A force of soldiers from the Anishinabe Confederation of Mexico, battled a force of American and Mexican soldiers for control of the city of Comez Palacio, which is in the Mexican State of Durango, not too far from Torreon. They defeated the American and Mexican soldiers then captured the city. Over 4,000 soldiers from both sides, were killed or wounded in the long battle. After winning this battle, the Anishinabe military once again sent their brave soldiers to the Torreon, Durango region.
