The Battle of La Belle-Famille July 24, 1759
This ambush occurred near Fort Niagara during a July 1759 siege. A force of English Soldiers and their idiotic Indian allies, ambushed a force of brave Ojibway Soldiers and prevailed. However, white casualties were 334 killed and many more wounded. Actions of those idiotic Indian allies of whites, greatly disappointed Ojibway leaders who would not tolerate other Indian Nations openly joining with their white enemies to fight other Indian Nations.
