March 20, 1814 Battle of Membrillar

The Battle of Membrillar is considered by historians to have been another battle of the Chilean War of Independence but was another battle between the Anishinabe Army and army of the white confederation led by England, for control of South America. Anishinabe soldiers were intensifying their war effort along the western coast of Chile, not very far from the Pacific. Their goal was to dominate the Pacific Coast of South America. Membrillar, like El Quilo and Chillan, was not very far from the Pacific and were extremely important to the nations fighting for control of South America. Anishinabe soldiers won this battle. However, the war for control of the Pacific Coast continued.
