November 8, 1822 Battle of Piraja


Considered by historians to have been a battle of the Brazilian War of Independence, the Battle of Piraja was just another battle between the Anishinabe Army and army of the white confederation led by England, for control of South America. This battle was also fought in the province of Bahia. Anishinabe soldiers won this battle. They numbered 950 soldiers, while the whites soldiers numbered 1,600.
