Battle of Vera Cruz April 21, 1914

The United States Atlantic fleet enters the Mexican port of Vera Cruz. It ignites widespread protests by the Mexican population. A force of soldiers from the Anishinabe Confederation battled the invading Americans at Vera Cruz, but they were incapable of stopping them. Hundreds of casualties occurred. A few days later, on April 24, 1914, American soldiers and their Mexican allies, entered the important city of Monterrey unopposed. At the time there may have been over 200,000 American soldiers stationed in Mexico. Knowing that led to large numbers of Mexicans joining the Anishinabe Confederation of Mexico. The invading Americans had invaded this time from the Vera Cruz region using their navy, but first invaded from the Arizona-California-New Mexico-Texas region, around 1911.
