Indian Creek Massacre
This 1832 massacre truly emphasizes just how intense the bad blood was flowing during the so called Black Hawks War. Supposedly in a dispute over some whites damming Indian Creek, an Anishinabe Soldier resorted to demanding from his fellow Anishinabe Soldiers, for retribution. In events that followed, 15 white men, women and children were killed. This massacre occurred early during Black Hawks War. This massacre occurred on May 21, 1832, in Illinois.
