Woman Murdered At St. Theresa Point First Nation


Police at the Ojibway community of St. Theresa Point, were called at around 7:30 a.m. on Thursday September 24, 2020 about an unresponsive woman at a St. Theresa Point residence. After Island Lake police reached the St. Theresa Point residence, they found a 35 year old woman unresponsive. They pronounced her dead at the crime scene. Police arrested 18 year old Kelton Wood and charged him with 2nd degree murder. They did not release any details on how the woman was murdered. Police are continuing an investigation.
