Coeur d'Alene Reservation

Located in northern Idaho State, is the Anishinabe-Salishan coeur d'alene reservation. It has a bitter past and, probably a corrupted history written for them by the whites. Why? The obvious Chippewa presence in that region of North America! In the mid 19th century the whites initiated an invasion into the California, Oregon, and Washington region. Most of the Indians at the time of that invasion, were subjugated by the military and police totem (the Chippewa's) of the Algonquin Tribe. Starting in the late 1840s, Algonquin soldiers commenced to fight the invading whites who were using Plague Warfare against them, as a means to decimate Indian populations. At the time, the whites had superior weapons (the revolver) and easily dominated the brave soldiers of the Algonquin's.

After a series of wars were fought in the Idaho, Oregon, and Washington region from 1847 to 1859, a peace treaty was signed and a fragile peace commenced. In 1867, the United States supposedly met with Coeur d'Alene leaders and reached an agreement with them in which they ceded all their land to the United States excepting 598,000 acres. That did not go well with Anishinabe ogimak who claimed that land by right of conquest. Then in 1873, the United States reached another treaty agreement with the Coeur d'Alene which again reduced the size of their nation. A new coeur d'alene reservation covering 345,000 acres was established with the 1873 treaty agreement. After the whites created the filthy 1887 Dawes Act, they commenced to use it in 1909. After their cowardly dirty work had been done, the Coeur d'Alene Reservation was almost entirely owned by the whites. From the original 345,000 acres, most of the Reservation's land (260,750 acres) slipped into white ownership. This historical information is not one you can tell. It reeks of cowardliness.

Today, the Coeur d'Alene people know they have been horribly violated by the evil white race. They are a minority within their own country and have to live with the fact that nearly all their Nation is owned by foreigners. This horrible event that has hit the innocent Coeur d'Alene people, is one of the worst examples of white greediness against an innocent Native American people. I can only list 1 Coeur d'Alene town. All except the one are predominantly non Indian.
