Maish Vaya, Arizona


It's a small village of Tohono O'odham Nation. It's located 13.5 miles east of Wahak Hotronk and 22.6 miles northwest of Sells. Below are several google earth photos of Maish Vaya. 2010 census reported Maish Vaya population at 158. They have 59 dwelling units at Maish Vaya, with 41 lived in. Average household size is 4.0 persons per housing unit. Surrounding Maish Vaya are mountains which are what many might consider perfect desert mountains. They are quite unlike mountains surrounding Wahak Hotronk. South Mountain which has an elevation of 4,170 feet above sea level, is 11 miles south of Maish Vaya. Surrounding Maish Vaya is a bit lusher desert compared to where Wahak Hotronk is located.
