Sahtu (Saulteau) Reserve
Reading old books written in 19th century, has been very helpful in learning exactly who Athabascan People are. According to 1832's Edinburgh Encyclopedia, Athabascan's are Algonquin. To be specific, they are Lenni Lenape. Below is an excerpt from 1832's Edinburgh Encyclopedia. Those old books written in 19th century, especially before 1850, are far more reliable than books written about Native Americans later. Lenni Lenape are also known as Delaware's. They originally lived west or near Missouri River. That be where Alberta, Montana and Wyoming are. An event happened which forced them to migrate east to Atlantic Oceans Coast. That was an invasion of whites. Ojibway People were warned about whites in Seven Fires Prophesy. Lenni Lenape people are really Ojibway. If they spoke Ojibway, it means they are Ojibway. Ojibway leaders sent many of their soldiers to Hudson Bay then to Beaufort Sea to combat invading whites and invading Eskimos. They gave rise to Chipewyan People including Copper People, Dogrib People and Cree People who are better known as Beaver Indians. Sahtu People are Slavey People who are Chipewyan.
Sahtu Reserve (it's not a territory - you must be cautious because prophesy tells you white leaders will use deceit) is located in Northwest Territories, just north of Dehcho Reserve. Canada is trying to fool the Sahtu Ojibway's into thinking they have a territory so they can demand land cessions! There are five Saulteau (Sahtu) settlements which make up Sahtu Reserve's population. They are listed below. Below is a map of Sahtu Reserve. Originally, Sahtu Reserve had a land area of 280,238 sq. km. or 108,200 sq. mi. In 1993, they gave up and agreed to cede most of their Reserve to greedy Canada. From having a Reserve of 280,238 sq. km. or 108,200 sq. mi. they agreed to accept a few Reserves not in compact form with a land area of 41,437 sq. km. or 15,999 sq. mi. On the map, their Reserves are the green color areas. Since their land is not in compact form, we do not accept 1993's agreement. Their land which has a land area of 41,437 sq. km. or 15,999 sq. mi. must be in compact form.
