Battle of Fort Miami

Fort Miami was located in close proximity of the Miami people who were not fully cooperating with their more powerful Anishinabe kin during the wars between the Ohio Indians and whites, between 1755 and 1815. Anyway, probably on orders given to them by their more powerful Anishinabe kin, the Miami coerced the English commander of the fort to hold negotiations with them but they killed him. The remaining English soldiers in Fort Miami (about 9 in all) peacefully surrended without being harmed afterwards.
