Battle of Frenchtown


In this winter time battle two battles actually took place, with the first being an American victory over the English and Indians, who suffered over 100 casualties with 55 being killed. American casualties were near 70 with 12 killed. In the second battle that took place, which was fought to bring Frenchtown back under English and Indian control, the English and Indians were victorious. American casualties were over 500 with around 400 being killed, including during the massacre that followed the intense battle.
