Indian Creek Massacre


This event truly emphasizes just how bad the bad blood was flowing then. In a dispute over some whites damming the Indian Creek, an Potawatomi warrior resorted to demanding of his fellow warriors, for retribution. In the events that followed 15 white men, women and children were killed. This event occurred early during Black Hawks War.
