Ojibway Indians of Illinois
Yes, there are still ojibway indians of illinois living there. They are known as the People of the Mountains. That name suggest that they came from some location towards the east, or some location out west. But they are obviously native to Illinois and most likely the Chippewa's. Nearly all Anishinabe were removed from Illinois during the early 1830s, but obviously some managed to stay there. Today, the People of the Mountains (the Ojibway Indians of Illinois) are not a Federally recognized tribe.
