River Raisin Massacre

This event was an act of retaliation that the Anishibabek obviously felt that they had to do. After the Americans surrendered during the second Battle of Frenchtown, some 200 wounded American soldiers were left to fend for themselves. The Three Fires Confederation were not about to let the opportunity to kill their greedy white brethren slip away. They ordered around half the 200 wounded American soldiers out of the buildings they were in, then torched the buildings holding the other 100, killing them. Afterwards, they forced the other 100 wounded American soldiers on an forced march, killing another 80 of them.
