Siege of Fort Detroit

This military engagement occurred during May of 1763 during Pontiac's War. The Anishinabek plans for taken Fort Detroit were given to the English in Fort Detroit by an willing Indian spy, who was very fortunate she wasn't murdered for her deliberate betrayal of her own race, after the Anishinabek apprehended her. For over a year the Anishinabek and their allies held Fort Detroit in a siege, then during August of 1764 they agreed to lift the siege.
