George Copway was a 19th century Shawnee Chippewa (they are also known as Mississaugas) author from Ontario, Canada who is responsible for the Great Sioux Reservation. He lectured during the late 1840's and 1850's at large American cities for the creation of a large Reservation for Ojibwa's and other natives to be located at all of what is now east South Dakota. Later, he changed the location of his proposed Reservation to be located at all of what is now west South Dakota. Ojibwa tribal historian Andrew Blackbird knew Shoshonean People spoke Anishinabe Language (aka Ojibwe Language). We know Shoshonean People are western Ojibwa's! Arapaho People and Cheyenne People are Shawnee Ojibwa's. Tribal historian William W. Warren wrote the name of Shawnee Ojibwa's "Shaw-un-oag." Definition is southern people.
