He was born in the 1860's and forced to relocate to the Ojibwa Great Sioux Reservation. That be Rosebud Reservation. Great Sioux Reservation is an Ojibwa Reservation. You've not done your investigations. George Copway was a 19th century Shawnee Ojibwa author and leader who left Canada to relocate to the United States. He lectured at large American cities in the late 1840's for the establihment of a large Ojibwa Reservation to be located at what is now all of east South Dakota. During the early 1850's, Copway changed his selected Reservation's location to all of what is now west South Dakota. English leaders were not willing to share large areas of land which disappointed Copway. He knew of large Reservations at the United States and left Ontario to support Ojibwa's who had their 5 million acre Reservation at Iowa, Minnesota and Missouri eradicated in 1846. He was not willing to relocate to Indian Territory. Instead he lectured for Great Sioux Reservation. Iowa is adjacent to South Dakota. In 1868, the United States agreed to set aside a vast Ojibwa Reservation at west South Dakota and west North Dakota. They've forgotten about Copway at what remains of Great Sioux Reservation and who they are. Ask them if they know who George Copway is and they'll tell you no! Watch "Silent Enemy" carefully.
