This city is located on the northern fringe of the Fort Belknap Reservation. It's almost a border town! Harlem is about three miles north of Fort Belknap Agency. Fort Belknap Agency is a small community with a lack of businesses which leads to many natives from the two communities south of Fort Belknap Agency moving to nearby Harlem to find employment.
