Chief Yellow Quill may have had connections to Ojibwa Folks at Pine Creek through old Swan River Reserve. Adjacent on the south is the Ojibwa community of Camperville. Although this Ojibwa community is a nice looking community there's few businesses to employ it's residents. While most Ojibwa communities are decreasing in population, it's the opposite at Pine Creek which is a community of Lake Manitoba Ojibwa Reserve. Between 2016 and 2021, the population of Pine Creek increased from 631 to 700. Further research will determine if that's correct. Actually population is for the FN! This community has 205 housing units according to 2021's census. Average household size is 3.3 persons per household. East of Pine Creek is Lake Winnipegosis. Nearly all housing units are located away from Lake Winnipegosis. Climate conditions of Pine Creek are long very cold winters and short warm summers. Below are links to google maps photos of that portion of Pine Creek going by the name Camperville.
