It is the second largest settlement on the Northern Cheyenne Reservation. Below are google earth road views of Crow Agency. It is a CDP or census designated place, that covers an area of 7.3 sq. mi. Crow Reservation was ceded by Plenty Coups who took his loot where he was given land. A community developed at his land for Ojibwa's who followed him. His settlements name is Pryor. Crow Agency was originally located on Little Big Horn Rivers east side. For some reason (you probably know) they relocated Crow Agency to Little Big Horn Rivers west side. Economically, the cdp is not doing well but it does have a few businesses. It is the seat of government or capital of the bogus Crow Reservation, which means many of the jobs in the settlement, are in government positions. According to the 2010 census, the population of Crow Agency is 1,821, with Native Americans accounting for 1,672 of the population. Whites accounted for 109 of the CDP's population. Mexicans account for 1.5% of the population of Crow Agency. There are a total of 361 housing units in the cdp, which gives the cdp an average household size of about 4.1 persons per housing unit. Around 41% of the citizens of the cdp live below the poverty line. The zip code for the cdp is 59022. It has an elevation of 3,038 feet above sea level.
