Cahuilla Indian Reservation is located in Riverside County, near Anza, California where their tribal headquarters are located. Most (16,884 acres) of their Reservations 18,884 acres, is privately owned. However, their real Reservation was created on January 5 and January 7 of 1852 and is very large. According to 2010's census, a total of 187 people live at Cahuilla Reservation of California. Native Americans make up 144 of it's population. Mexicans number 42. Whites number 15. Though 2010's census reported 62 total housing units with 57 of them lived in (that is a 3.3 persons per household average), using google earth you can count up to 80 total housing units within their small nations boundaries. However, many of them are located along boundaries of their Reservation which means they should be excluded as being within their Reservation. Nearly all of this small nations land is mountainous. California's beautiful Little Rockies Mountains Range are scenic at Cahuilla. There is no real city or town at Cahuilla. Just housing units scattered along roads. Ojibway Traditionalists should visit this Reservation and have a friendly negotiation with their leaders. Use these coordinates 33°31'13.43"N 116°42'42.69"W using google earth, to find out about Cahuilla. Little Shell Valley or Coachella Valley, is 15 miles to their northeast. They either were allowed to remain where they are at now or were relocated from possibly Temecula region, to where they live now. They are yet living within their large Reservation created on January 5 and January 7 of 1852.
