La Jolla Indian Tribe Culture, Language, History and Reservation
It was set aside in 1875 for Luiseno People. A link to a map of their real Reservation and google earth photos of their land is below. La Jolla Indian Reservation covers 9,998 acres. It is located in northern San Diego County. However, it's bogus. This Luiseno Tribe Reservation is really a part of a much larger Reservation set aside on January 5 and January 7, 1852. Those two 1852 Treaties, are a part of 18 treaties American leaders signed with Ojibway People after 1846-1848's Mexican-American War. La Jolla Reservation is connected to Rincon Reservation which makes them one Reservation. They fought in 1846-1848's Mexican-American War. Luiseno Culture and Language is Mexican-Opata, which is known today as Uto-Aztecan Language Family. Garcia Cubas classified their language as Comanche-Shoshone or Shoshonean which is Ojibway. In 1901, a judge illegally ruled that Luiseno Tribal People did not own that very large Reservation set aside on January 5 and January 7, 1852. They were forced to relocate in 1903 to where they live now. It wasn't just Pala People that had to relocate. Most relocated to Coachella Valley (Little Shell Valley) after they were forced to leave their promised Reservation. However, La Jolla and Rincon are yet adjacent to their Reservation set aside on January 5 and January 7,1852.
