Flathead Reservation

According to a 2010 census, Flathead Reservation has largest Ojibway population of any Ojibway Reservation in Montana. However, since Crow Reservation and Northern Cheyenne Reservation are actually connected, that Reservation has largest Ojibway population in Montana. However, both are classified as distinct Reservations. Below is a map of Flathead Reservation and links to google earth photos of Turtle Lake. According to 2010's census, Flathead Reservations Ojibway (Kootenai and Salish People are an admixture of Ojibway and non Ojibway) population is 9,328. Mixed bloods make up 2,286 of it's population of 9,328. Mexicans make up 1,021 of Flathead Reservations population which represents Flathead Reservation having an Ojibway population closer to 10,000. Of course, that's including mixed bloods and Mexicans. Including Flathead Reservations white population, increases it's population to near 30,000. However, they (whites) are being dishonest about this Ojibway Reservation. It was supposedly set aside on July 16, 1855. That's deceiving however. American leaders had difficulties moving Ojibway People to Jocko Reservation (aka Flathead Reservation) early on. In fact, American leaders refused to set aside a Reservation within Mission Valley because of abundant farmland. People living at Flathead Reservation think it's a former Reservation. They are wrong! Flathead Reservation is actually located in the Great Falls, Montana region where there are many flat top shaped mountains. This is Jocko Reservation!

Chief Rocky Boy was set aside a compact form Reservation within Jocko Reservation which means there's a large area within Jocko Reservation that is predominantly Ojibway. Chief Rocky Boy was set aside his compact form Reservation within Jocko Reservation on January 8, 1904. Below is an excerpt from Senator Gibson's Bill! We have been told not to trust whites! On April 23, 1904, Flathead Reservations (Jocko Reservation) Allotment Act was passed. Thus, why chief Rocky Boy negotiated an agreement with American leaders to have a large portion of Jocko Reservation set aside in compact form. Senator Gibson was instrumental in helping chief Rocky Boy. Ojibway's living at Jocko Reservation, know nothing about chief Rocky Boy. Finding chief Rocky Boy's Jocko Reservation is very difficult. Finding chief Rocky Boy's Reservation within Blackfeet Reservation is easier. However, using google earth is helpful. Woodlands were allotted to individual Ojibway's, as well as wetlands. Chief Rocky Boy prepared for the infamous 10¢ An Acre Treaty. He knew it would be ratified within a couple of years. That happened in 1904. On April 23, 1904 the Flathead Reservation Allotment Act was ratified. What really happened was land was set aside for chief Rocky Boy and his Ojibway Subjects, in Compact Form. After allotments, the surplus land left after allotments, was ceded to whites.

They allotted 227,113 acres or 91,909.4 hectares to 2,431 Ojibway's. It was in compact form and could not be sold, on April 23, 1904.
Another 2,524.7 acres or 1,021.7 hectares was set aside for tribal use also on April 23, 1904.
Another 6,774.92 acres or 2,741.7 hectares was set aside for agency purposes also on April 23, 1904.
Another 18,521.35 acres or 7,495.3 hectares was set aside for a bison range on May 23, 1908.
Another 45,714 acres or 18,499.8 hectares was reserved for power and Reservoir sites on April 12, 1910.

Land Area: Allotted land and protected land, 300,647.97 acres (469.7 sq. mi.) or 121,667.9 hectares (1,216.7 sq. km)

His Reservation is likely located north, south and west of Kicking Horse Reservoir and Ninepipe Reservoir. The area is wetlands. The map below will help you get a good idea of where his Reservation is. Leaders of Flathead Reservation will reject it! However, the Rocky Boy Tribe will recognize it! I know Flathead Reservation leaders are very angry. Don't Fuck With Me! I mean it! Your hostility is getting you into trouble with non whites from far in the future or about 1,000 years from now or 2021. I won't forget how hostile you were towards me. Since you won't look out for your subjects best interests, we will!

Homes for Rocky Boy's Band.

A recent Washington dispatch says Senator Gibson has introduced the following bill, which has been referred to the committee on Indian affairs:

"Be it enacted by the senate and house of representatives of the United States of America in congress assembled, that the secretary of the interior be, and he is hereby authorized and directed, with the consent of the Indians of the Jocko ( Flathead) reservation, in the state of Montana, to be obtained in the usual manner, to set aside a tract of land in compact form within the boundaries of said reservation, sufficient in area to give not to exceed 40 acres each of arable land to such members, including men, women and children, of the migratory band of Indians now roaming in said state, and known as Rocky Boy's band, as shall, upon investigation, be satisfactorily shown to have been born in the United States, and who may desire to settle permanently upon said reservation: and there is hereby appropriated out of any money in the treasury not to exceed the sum of $8,800, or so much thereof as may be necessary, to pay the Indians of Flathead reservation at the rate of per acre for the lands relinquished and set apart for said migratory Indians: and a further sum of $10,000 to be expended in assisting said Indians in making homes for themselves on said reservation, in all $18,800 to be immediately available."
