San Ildefonso Indians


They share a same Reservation with several other Pueblo Peoples. Below are google earth photos of this Reservations communities. San Ildefonso Tribe of Indians trace their origins to Anasazi Civilization. They've been civilized for an extremely long time and their civilization was an advanced one. San Ildefonso Tribe Reservation is located in and near San Juan Valley. On this Reservation's west, is Jemez Mountain Range and on it's east, is Sangre de Cristo Mountain Range, which is a special place to people from San Ildefonso Tribe. Along with those other Pueblo Peoples, their Reservation is not a large one. At only 477.0 sq. mi. or 1,235.4 sq. km. it's small. Their Reservation has a 2010 population of 18,541 yet many are non natives. 2010's native population is 3,080. However, including Mexicans 2010 population of 12,898, this Reservations native population is 15,978.
