Pinaymootang First Nation & History
This band of Anishinabe indians have a reserve located between lake winnipeg and lake manitoba. The pinaymootang (they are also known as the fairford band) first nation is located on the fringes of whites settlements, and like most other Anishinabe first nation located around white settlements, a great portion of the fairford band of Anishinabe indians, live off reserve. Their total enrolled band population is 2,831, with most, 1,585, living off the first nation. Their history is similar to that of the other manitoba indians. Their reserve covers 7,413 hectares or 18,318 acres.
